CALLING ALL ADULT RACE FANS....... September Races @ RIR are about here! Please consider volunteering (must be 18 years and older) to work Friday, September 5th and/or Saturday September 6th (Rain Date: Sunday Sept. 7th). Friday Hours are from 10AM to End of Races; Saturday Noon to end of races. We need minimum of 6 on Friday and 10 on Saturday. Please contact either Deborah Divers (264-5313) or Sharon Cook (755-7543) by August 25th to sign up. Thanks for your continued support of band!

Flagline News: The flagline practices schedule for June 24 and June 26 will be cancelled! The first flag practice will be July 3rd for everyone!





The leaders for the flagline for 2008-2009 will be Ally Hackenburg, Amanda LaLiberte, and Alana Robinson. The details of the leadership roles will be defined as we progress through the summer. Leadership opportunities will be available for others as well. Thank you very much to the very qualified group of students who applied. We are lucky to have the potential for such great leadership this year!

New Marchers and Percussion Camp, July 28th through August 1st, 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM

BOTH THE WIND ENSEMBLE AND CONCERT BAND RECEIVED STRAIGHT I'S AT DISTRICT CONCERT FESTIVAL. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU.

The Marching Panthers Received unanimous Superior Ratings from the five judges at the State Marching Band Festival at Charlottesville High School. This completes the first half of The Virginia Honor Band Requirement. The second half is the District Concert Band Festival that will be hosted at Hermitage in March. Congratulations!
